More than 20 US ships are currently operating in the Middle East to enforce the blockade against Iran

NEW YORK, July 28. /TASS/. The US military has redirected 18 commercial vessels since July 14 when the United States resumed its naval blockage against Iran, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

"As of July 28, CENTCOM has redirected 18 commercial vessels, disabled 2, and boarded 2 to ensure full compliance [with the blockade]," it wrote on X.

According to CENTCOM, more than 20 US ships are currently operating in the Middle East to enforce the blockade against Iran.
