BLACKPINK member Lisa has become the subject of online speculation yet again after her recent appearance at a beauty event in Bangkok prompted discussions about her appearance.
The K-pop star attended a Shiseido pop-up event in Thailand on Friday, July 3, where she met fans and participated in promotional activities for the beauty brand. During the event, Lisa also crossed paths with Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia, delighting fans of both stars.
While many attendees praised Lisa's fashion, confidence, and stage presence, photos from the event quickly spread across X, where some users began speculating that her facial features, particularly her nose, looked different from previous public appearances.
Netizens Split Over Viral PhotosAs images from the Bangkok event circulated online, some social media users compared them with older photos of the singer, leading to speculation that she may have undergone plastic surgery.
Others, however, argued that the perceived differences could simply be the result of makeup techniques, lighting, camera angles, photo editing, or natural changes in facial appearance.
The conversation soon divided internet users, with some expressing a preference for Lisa's earlier look and claiming the reported changes had altered her signature appearance. A few even said they initially struggled to recognize the singer in the newly shared images.
"It's the first thing I can notice now that I'm aware, and it's throwing me off badly," wrote a user, while another commented, "I guess the new nose allegations are true after all".
"The way even she's so self-conscious about the nose she keeps covering it," a third one noted.
Supporters Call for Respect and PrivacyMany fans came to Lisa's defense, urging people to stop scrutinizing her appearance and instead respect her privacy.
Supporters also pointed out that celebrity photographs can vary significantly depending on factors such as styling, camera lenses, lighting, editing, and facial expressions.
One fan defended the BLACKPINK member, writing, "Y'all drag her for her lip sync, weird music, auto tune etc is fine but there's no point of making fun of her face coz she's beautiful....i know she had surgeries but it's normal in k-pop industry."
Neither Lisa nor her representatives have commented on the online speculation, and there has been no confirmation regarding the claims being circulated on social media.
Lisa Continues Expanding Her Global CareerDespite the online discussion, Lisa remains active across multiple industries, continuing to collaborate with major international fashion and beauty brands while balancing her music career and solo projects.
The Thai superstar made her acting debut in 'The White Lotus Season 3' in 2025 and is also set to appear in the upcoming Netflix action thriller 'Extraction: Tygo.'
