To add boundaries to surface references using viewport

One of the new features in Civil 3d is that you can now add a surface boundary to a surface that is data referenced. This is great when working with very large surfaces. I would like the ability to use a viewport as the boundary. It would be even better if the plan production tools would do this automatically when generating plan sheets or plan & profile sheets.  Paul
