La fonte de la calotte groenlandaise contribue à la montée globale du niveau des océans. Mais localement, elle produit l’effet inverse : libérée du poids de la glace, l’île se soulève. De quoi faire baisser le niveau relatif de la mer de plusieurs mètres d’ici à 2100.
