In case you weren’t aware: Certain confused and disoriented States (including California and several others) have legislated for forced espionage disguised as «age verification». It’s one thing for States to commit that deceptive, cruel act with commercial operating systems like Apple’s iOS-iPadOS-macOS, Google’s Android (excluding the pro-privacy de-Googled versions, like CalyxOS, /e/OS and GrapheneOS) and Microsoft’s Windows. It’s something quite different for these States to dare to do it with FOSS (free and open source software—to which today, I’ll add the word «forkable» to make it FOSFS), like the hundreds of Linux distributions with no corporation behind. As I have covered in previous articles, Microsoft products and services are in the continuing process of abandonment, beginning officially in Germany and France, where they have chosen to migrate to FOSFS alternatives including different Linux distributions. I salute the TechPoint YouTube channel for the following embedded 18:35 compilation documentary of this situation. I also salute all of the beloved colleagues who are quoted within the same work, of whom some I have saluted before. This time, they include (in order of first appearance): Lon Seidman of Lon.tv, Olive Badger, Switched to Linux, The Lundake Journal and Henry of Techlore.
Above, the video is embedded, so even when you watch it here in ProVideo Coalition, the creator (TechPoint) gets credit for the play. However, if you would like to click on the Thumb’s Up symbol or comment below the video on YouTube, click here. If you want to comment on this article, do it below.
