Iconic French cookware brand Le Creuset launched a new colorway on Aug. 24: a glossy gray-blue natural hue the brand is calling Château.

The brand says the new hue, which is its third this year, is inspired by the “stone rooftops and morning mist” from the French countryside. The new colorway will be available across 32 of the brand’s products, including multiple sizes of its iconic Dutch ovens, plus skillets, pasta bowls and more.

“We found consumers seeking calm and softness in interiors…the airy and serene nature of tinted neutrals with personality,” explains Sara Whitaker, senior director of category marketing at Le Creuset. "[That] is what led us to develop Château—a glossy, balanced shade, gently hushed with blue and gray.”

The new Chateau collection is available exclusively at Le Creuset and Crate & Barrel.

Thus far in 2026, the 101-year-old brand launched pieces of its collection in Forêt, a deep forest green color the brand named its signature Color of the Year, as well as Nectar, a rich golden yellow hue, and Riviera, a vibrant blue. Le Creuset also re-released pieces of its collection in the color Provence, an ombre purple hue that is a fan-favorite. The French brand is known to retire colors on an ongoing basis to accommodate new releases, meaning shoppers can’t always count on a favorite shade remaining available.
