Tracking as the single most consequential day in the Indian corporate landscape this year, the historic Reliance AGM 2026 broadcast has officially delivered a massive paradigm shift. Chairman Mukesh Ambani took the stage to detail an expansive digital infrastructure blueprint designed to future-proof the nation’s digital ecosystem.

Reliance Industries Limited held its 49th Annual General Meeting on June 19, 2026, with Chairman Mukesh Ambani unveiling a technology-led growth roadmap that positions the conglomerate at the center of India’s next phase of digital and technological transformation.

The headline announcement came within minutes of the AGM’s opening. The Board of Jio Platforms approved its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for the mega IPO, and Mukesh Ambani confirmed that the DRHP is being filed with SEBI today, June 19, 2026. The most anticipated stock market debut in Indian history has formally begun. This article is being updated live as announcements are confirmed.

Sovereign Architecture: Key Infrastructure Unveiled at Reliance AGM 2026

Mukesh Ambani stated that the Jio IPO DRHP filing will unlock great value for RIL shareholders. The company noted that the filing has been submitted to market regulator SEBI and the stock exchanges, marking the formal beginning of the listing process.

Jio has surpassed 500 million subscribers, making it one of the largest telecom operators globally. The IPO, when it lists, will be among the largest in Indian stock market history and one of the largest technology IPOs globally in 2026.

Ambani described the IPO as an important moment for Reliance, its shareholders, and the wider digital ecosystem built around Jio over the past decade. Pricing, timeline, and valuation details will follow as the SEBI review process proceeds.

$110 Billion AI Infrastructure Investment: The Biggest Number of the Day

Reliance announced plans to invest $110 billion over the next seven years to build artificial intelligence infrastructure and data center capacity across India. This will support large-scale, AI-ready facilities, digital infrastructure, and advanced computing capabilities nationwide.

Construction has already begun on multi-gigawatt data center projects in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with more than 120 MW of capacity expected to become operational in the second half of 2026.

The AI initiative includes strategic partnerships with global technology companies and the development of a nationwide edge computing network integrated with Jio’s telecom platform.

Jio is building a sovereign AI backbone in Jamnagar, positioning India’s most valuable company as the infrastructure layer beneath the country’s entire AI ecosystem rather than a mere consumer of foreign AI infrastructure.

Jio Teleframe and Jio Call Agent: Two New AI Products Launched

Reliance unveiled Jio Teleframe, a platform for AI agents, and Jio Call Agent, a native artificial intelligence voice assistant integrated directly into the Jio network.

Akash Ambani confirmed that Jio Call Agent is integrated natively into the Jio network, meaning the AI voice assistant operates at the carrier level rather than as a third-party application on top of the network.

That unique architecture gives it capabilities no app-level voice assistant can match: awareness of call quality, network state, and subscriber identity without requiring additional user permissions or app installations.

Jio Teleframe positions Jio firmly as an AI agent orchestration platform, rather than just a telecom provider or a consumer internet company.

Sovereign Satellite Constellation India-Made LEO Network

Akash Ambani announced a dual-track satellite strategy: building an India-made Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network while simultaneously partnering with global providers and establishing sovereign ground station infrastructure.

The sovereign constellation is the most strategically significant long-term announcement of the AGM. India currently depends on foreign satellite networks for broadband coverage in rural and underserved areas. Starlink, OneWeb, and Eutelsat all require foreign infrastructure and foreign regulatory approval for each satellite.

An India-made LEO constellation under Jio’s ownership would give India sovereign control over its own connectivity infrastructure for the first time. No launch timeline, satellite count, or orbital parameters were confirmed in the initial announcement.

Meta Partnership AI-Enabled Data Center in Jamnagar

Reliance and Meta are developing an AI-enabled data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, the same location as the sovereign AI backbone announcement.

That geographic concentration establishing Jamnagar as India’s AI capital mirrors what NVIDIA did in Abilene, Texas, with the Stargate data center.

The Meta partnership extends Reliance’s existing relationship with Facebook’s parent company, which previously invested in Jio Platforms during the 2020 funding round that valued Jio at approximately $65 billion.

Reliance Retail FMCG and Fresh Produce Manufacturing Push

Reliance Retail is entering a manufacturing-led growth phase by integrating more closely with RCPL, its consumer products subsidiary. The expansion focuses on processing daily essentials, beverages, and organized fresh fruits and vegetables to reduce supply chain waste.

This is Reliance’s most direct move into FMCG manufacturing, allowing it to compete directly with HUL, ITC, and Nestlé on the production side rather than purely on distribution.

JioStar holds a commanding 34.7% share of India’s streaming market. JioHotstar has 300 million paying subscribers, positioning it as the world’s second-largest streaming platform by paying subscriber count, trailing only Netflix.

RIL’s media and entertainment wing, comprising JioStar, Jio Studios, and Network18, posted a combined revenue of ₹34,917 crore and a net profit of ₹3,434 crore for FY26.

Financial Highlights: FY26 Performance

Reliance Industries reported an FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹10.71 trillion, an EBITDA of ₹1.83 trillion, and a net profit of ₹81,309 crore. Reliance aims to double its EBITDA by the end of 2027.

A dividend of ₹6 per share for FY26 was announced for shareholders’ consideration.

JIO Platforms has also surged into the Global Top 20 in the latest WIPO Patents Ranking, marking the first time an Indian telecom company has appeared in that prestigious ranking.

What This AGM Means: The Bigger Picture

Every Reliance AGM since 2016 has announced something that has completely restructured the Indian industry. The 2016 AGM launched free Jio services and destroyed the Indian telecom duopoly. The 2020 AGM announced the Meta, Google, and Saudi Aramco investments that valued Jio at $65 billion. The 2025 AGM announced Jio’s IPO intent and the Reliance Intelligence subsidiary.

Reliance AGM 2026: Mukesh Ambani Reveals Colossal Tech Plan 1

The 2026 AGM delivers the execution confirmation. The DRHP is filed, the $110 billion AI commitment is live, the satellite constellation is announced, and two new AI products are in the market, the exact same day Ambani spoke.

Ambani outlined a strategy that positions Reliance at the center of India’s next phase of digital and technological transformation, not as a mere participant in that transformation, but as its core infrastructure provider.

“This will demonstrate that Jio is capable of creating the same quantum of value as our global counterparts.”— Mukesh Ambani, 49th RIL AGM, June 19, 2026
