Harry Kane's Bundesliga adventure is following the same trajectory of his Premier League career with him breaking scoring records for fun.

The England captain has scored 27 goals in 26 matches for Bayern Munich since leaving Tottenham in the summer and in November became the first ever player to score 18 goals in the first 12 games of a Bundesliga season.

But there is another former Spurs forward who has been almost as prolific as Kane in front of goal this season.

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has scored 14 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for Damac FC after joining the Saudi Pro League club in the summer.

While he failed to get on the scoresheet at the Africa Cup of Nations, he set up two goals before Cameroon fell to Nigeria in the Round of 16.

The 28-year-old joined Tottenham for £11m from Marseille in the summer of 2016

With 20 and 17 goals respectively, only Cristiano Ronaldo and Aleksandar Mitrovic have scored more goals in the Saudi Pro League than N'Koudou this season.

His 14 goals are five more than Karim Benzema's tally and six more than Sadio Mane and Riyad Mahrez.

N'Koudou may be in the form of his life this season, but sank without a trace at Spurs.

The winger arrived at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2016, part of the £70million signing spree that also included the Vincent Janssen, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama.

An £11m signing from Marseille, N'Koudou looked to be yet another shrewd bit of business from Mauricio Pochettino.

The winger caught the eye of several English and European clubs after scoring 10 goals in all competitions in his only season at the Stade Velodrome.

Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham and Sevilla all scouted him, while Bournemouth also expressed interest and Hamburg had a bid turned down.

A phone call from Pochettino eventually proved decisive and N'Koudou signed a five-year deal just 12 months after joining Marseille from Nantes for £1m.

But he never settled in the Premier League and played just 27 games in three seasons

A loan spell at Burnley proved similarly disappointing, as he made only eight appearances

The Cameroon international is outshining the likes of Karim Benzema in the Saudi Pro League

But the then-France Under-21 international - he switched allegiances to Cameroon in 2022 - never fulfilled his potential in England.

N'Koudou featured in 17 games in all competitions in his first season at Spurs, but played a mere 47 minutes across his eight Premier League appearances.

With first team opportunities at a premium in north London, a loan to Burnley in January of 2018 seemed to be N'Koudou's best chance to secure regular football.

'I know the manager likes young players and players who go forward, so it suits my character to come here and I am happy to work with him,' he said at his unveiling.

'I hope to help the club. If I can, I will - but the last word is with the manager.

'I am ready to play and waiting on the starting blocks.'

Sean Dyche did indeed have the final word and the Cameroonian's spell at Turf Moor proved to be similarly frustrating, with just two league starts in five months.

He then managed just 21 minutes of football across three games after moving to Monaco in January of 2019, before a hamstring injury sidelined him for three months.

The Cameroon international had better luck at Besiktas, winning the domestic double in 2021

Sent back to Spurs as his loan ended, N'Koudou was soon on the move again as he joined Besiktas for £4.6m in the summer of 2016.

Finally settled after three years on the move, N'Kodou enjoyed something of a renaissance in Turkey, winning the domestic double in his second season and scoring 21 goals in 108 appearances across his four campaigns in Istanbul.

Then came the move to Damac in the summer as he joined a number of more illustrious colleagues to Saudi Arabia where he has hitherto exceeded expectations.
