She may not have won Matt Agnew's heart, but things are certainly heating up for The Bachelor's Nichole Wood.

The 25-year-old café manager, who was sent home by Matt on Wednesday night's episode, was spotted kissing Married At First Sight star Billy Vincent, 28, earlier this week.

After photos of the pair made headlines, Nichole spoke to the A.B and Ben radio show on Friday about how their romance came to light.

Denying their romance is a publicity stunt, Nichole said: 'He's been asking to go on a date with me for a while now.

'We've got mutual friends, so my best friend Shelby met him at some event, and they sort of made friends.

'Next thing, he was messaging me on Instagram! And then yeah, he just kept asking [me out] and I finally caved.

'That was our first date. Obviously it went well, by the pictures!'

The photos, which were taken outside a Gold Coast restaurant on Tuesday night, showed Nichole and Billy smooching in the street.

They were seemingly oblivious to the fact paparazzi had caught their every move.

When asked if their romance could be going further, Nichole said: 'I think there will be a second date, yeah. I think he's already asked. He's a lovely guy!'

Billy rose to fame earlier this year on Married At First Sight, which saw him paired with single mother Susie Bradley.

Susie relentlessly bullied her 'husband' during their honeymoon, and even reduced him to tears on several occasions.

Interestingly, Nichole happens to be longtime friends with one of Billy's MAFS co-stars, car sales broker Dan Webb.
