Healio Community is hosting a Mentorship Networking Event on Sept. 23.

Priya Bansal, MD, clinical assistant professor at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, is in private practice at the Asthma and Allergy Wellness Center in St. Charles, Illinois.

Chandana Keshavamurthy, MD, associate professor of medicine and program director of the rheumatology fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, is a practicing rheumatologist at Banner University Medical Center.

Rick Pospisil, MD, member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, is a retired orthopedic surgeon in San Francisco.

Karl Steinberg, MD, AMA delegate and former president of the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association, specializes in long-term care geriatrics and hospice/palliative medicine in San Diego County, California.

During the virtual event, attendees will join three 15-minute breakout room sessions aimed at personal and professional development. Participants and mentors will share candid experiences in medicine before delving into topics such as career advancement and skill acquisition, focusing on both short- and long-term goals.

Following the guided portion of the session, mentors will open the conversation for mentees to ask questions regarding career paths, new or nontraditional opportunities, leadership skills and work-life balance, with the prospect of finding a mentor match.
