Synopsis
European shares rose as technology stocks led gains and falling oil prices eased inflation concerns. The STOXX 600 advanced 0.56%, while investors also tracked the upcoming Trump-Xi meeting.
European stocks gain as tech shares lead the rebound.
European shares rose on Monday, led by technology stocks, while a fourth straight session of declines in oil prices helped ease concerns over inflation and supported broader risk appetite.
The pan-European STOXX 600 gained 0.56% to 638.98 points by 0710 GMT, after falling 0.6% last week. Most regional markets also traded in positive territory.

Oil prices ease, travel stocks gainEnergy stocks fell 0.62% as oil prices extended their decline following reports that more crude supplies were leaving the Gulf than previously expected, despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The decline in oil prices provided some relief to investors concerned about the inflationary impact of higher energy costs. Travel stocks gained 0.86%, with airline shares benefiting from lower fuel costs.

Technology stocks lead gainsTechnology stocks were the strongest-performing sector, rising about 2%, supported by gains in chip-related companies including Soitec and Aixtron.
Germany's DAX advanced 0.76%, while investors also assessed the outcome of state elections in northeastern Germany. Projections indicated that the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) had emerged as the largest party in the region.
Investors were also monitoring economic data from Sweden, where long-term inflation expectations among financial and business groups eased in September, according to the Reuters report.
Trump-Xi meeting in focusAttention is shifting toward a meeting later this week between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Investors are looking for signals on the future direction of US-China trade relations and their potential implications for the global economy.
The meeting comes as markets continue to assess the impact of trade policies, geopolitical tensions and shifting expectations for global interest rates.
AstraZeneca, Nordnet and Ipsen in focusAmong individual stocks, AstraZeneca fell 0.32%. The drugmaker said its cancer treatment Enhertu had been recommended for European Union approval for use in early breast cancer.
Swedish digital bank and online brokerage platform Nordnet rose 4.6% after announcing a share buyback programme.
Biotechnology company Ipsen was among the major decliners, with its shares falling more than 6%.
The market moves came as investors balanced easing oil prices and improving risk appetite against geopolitical uncertainty and political developments across Europe, with the upcoming Trump-Xi meeting likely to remain a key focus for global markets.
