From Coffy and Foxy Brown to Jackie Brown and The L Word, her career has crossed generations and genres. Now, she is using her experience to preserve Black stories, encourage younger creatives and keep herself curious about what is possible.

Essence shared that one of Grier’s biggest current projects is Pam Grier’s Soul Flix, a FAST channel dedicated to classic Black films and television. Grier sees the platform as a way to preserve important cultural stories while introducing them to audiences who may have missed them the first time around.

Grier is not ready to put Hollywood behind her. As she told the publication, she continues to approach life with curiosity and hopes to keep working for many years. Her recent appearances in the second season of Prime’s Them series in 2024 and ongoing projects show that the actress is still very much part of the entertainment conversation.

One of Grier’s most exciting creative plans is adapting Foxy Brown for the stage. The project would bring one of her most recognizable characters into a new medium and introduce the story to another generation.

Grier is also developing her 2010 memoir, Foxy: My Life in Three Acts, as a biopic. The project could give audiences a deeper look at the woman behind the characters and the remarkable journey that shaped her career.

Believe it or not, Grier’s interests extend well beyond Hollywood. She has spent years learning about land management, livestock and construction. She believes practical knowledge can help create stronger communities and wants younger people to understand that there are many valuable paths beyond traditional corporate careers.

Grier continues to embrace younger Black women in entertainment who credit her influence. Rather than seeing other women as competition, she believes everyone has their own lane and should share what they know.

At 77, Pam Grier is not simply looking back at her legacy. She is actively adding to it.
