UNITED NATIONS, September 23. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation beginning his working program on September 23 at the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, with an address scheduled for September 26.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed his schedule is "maximally packed."

Russia's position will focus on strengthening multipolarity, building equal and indivisible Eurasian security, countering colonialism, reforming the global financial architecture, combating terrorism, and disarmament. Zakharova said the UN remains "an indispensable and most representative universal platform for multilateral diplomacy."

A meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled for Lavrov's first day. He will also meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, with over 30 meetings planned with representatives from Algeria, Brazil, India, Iran, Cuba, and others, as well as the OSCE, IAEA, and UN General Assembly President.
