Two Grade 6 students were arrested after they were allegedly involved in stealing a motorcycle in Pasig City, according to the Pasig City Police. 

The motorcycle was quickly recovered after the two young suspects were spotted with the vehicle. Police said the children initially pushed the motorcycle instead of immediately riding it. They reportedly moved it for around 400 to 500 meters before they were able to start the engine. 

Authorities later obtained footage showing the motorcycle already running while the children were with it. However, police said there was no clear CCTV footage showing exactly how the students managed to start the motorcycle. 

The incident raised concerns because of the young age of the children involved. Police said the students were identified, and their parents were informed about what happened. 

Instead of simply focusing on punishment, authorities explained that the children may still undergo proper intervention because they are minors. The goal is to help them understand the seriousness of their actions and prevent them from getting involved in similar incidents again. 

Police also reminded parents and guardians to closely monitor their children and guide them about what is right and wrong. Authorities said children need proper attention and direction, especially as they grow and become more exposed to different influences. 

The quick recovery of the motorcycle also helped prevent the incident from becoming a bigger problem for the vehicle owner. At the same time, the incident reminds that parents, schools, and communities all have a role in guiding young people.
