Poverty at a record low: accurate. The official poverty rate fell 0.5 percentage points to 10.2% in 2025. That is the lowest since the bureau began the series. The “1.5 million lifted out of poverty” figure also checks out: 34.5 million people fell below the poverty line in 2025, compared to 36 million the previous year. One caveat is that the broader Supplemental Poverty Measure put 2025 poverty at 13.1 percent, 2.9 points higher than the official rate. Black and Hispanic poverty at all-time lows: half-confirmed. The Hispanic part is confirmed: the Hispanic poverty rate fell to 13.9%, the lowest on record. Income of $87,000 “on average”: nearly right, wrong word. The figure is a median, not an average. Real median household income was $87,460 in 2025, the highest on record dating back to 1967. $21 trillion in investment commitments: no apparent basis. The White House’s own website claimed $11.2 trillion in “major investment announcements” during Trump’s second term, far less than the $21 trillion the president cited. The 1 million jobs and 80 stock-market records claims were not independently checked.

“Zero illegal aliens admitted” in 16 months: overstated. What officials have documented is narrower. Earlier this year, DHS said Border Patrol had not released any immigrants into the U.S. for eight months while awaiting court proceedings. Not releasing apprehended migrants is different from nobody entering illegally, since people who evade capture are not counted. WRAL.com

Murder rate lowest since 1900: plausible. The Council on Criminal Justice projected that 2025 homicides could drop to about 4 per 100,000 residents, the lowest rate ever recorded going back to 1900. However, crime has been trending down in recent years. yahooyahoo

DC crime “down 87%”: Partially Accurate. Police data show more than 15,000 total crimes through Monday, a reduction of about 23% from 2024 as of the same date, not the 80-plus percent Trump has repeatedly claimed. “For 51 years”: Close, but 4 years off. The Islamic Republic was established in 1979, which makes it 47 years old.

Operation Midnight Hammer and Operation Epic Fury: real names. Midnight Hammer was the June 2025 strike. Epic Fury was the U.S. code name for joint operations with Israel against Iran that began on February 28, 2026, and concluded on May 5. Encyclopedia Britannica

9/11 “killed 2,000 people”: wrong. The death toll was nearly 3,000 (2,977 victims).

October 7 killed 1,200, third anniversary: accurate.

Iran killed 10,000 protesters: within the range of estimates, but unsettled. Estimates range from about 3,000 to more than 35,000, with a near-total internet shutdown limiting independent verification. polskieradio

Security Council resolution with record cosponsors: accurate. Resolution 2817 passed 13 to none, with China and Russia abstaining. 1 billion barrels escorted out of Hormuz: plausible but unverified. The last firm figure found is from late August, when CENTCOM cited nearly 1,500 vessels escorted and 750 million barrels of crude moved out of the Gulf. Global Security

Munitions “more than we could ever use”: misleading. The Congressional Budget Office reported a “shortfall” of missile defense interceptors, saying the war will leave the U.S. with a reduced inventory for several years. All hostages returned: accurate. As far as known, the remains of the last deceased hostage were returned in January 2026.

Gaza war “ended”: needs context. Israel continues to conduct frequent attacks in the enclave despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreement. KTVZ

Settled eight wars: Near-True. The Egypt-Ethiopia situation was a diplomatic dispute over a dam, not a war, and the Serbia-Kosovo issue was also not a war. In addition, the Rwanda-Congo war has not ended despite a Trump-brokered peace agreement. KTVZKTVZ

The quotes attributed to foreign leaders (Pakistan’s “30 million lives” and the others) were not verified.

The January operation and the 65-billion-barrel deal: real, but the deal’s terms still unclear. The August announcement came nearly nine months after the U.S. military captured Venezuela’s then-President Nicolás Maduro. UN budget cut 15%: accurate. The 2026 budget reflected the Secretary-General’s proposed 15 per cent reduction and a nearly 19 per cent staffing cut.
