I appreciate the opportunity to give an opinion with reference to the Rock City proposal to build a gondola ride from the pre Civil War farmhouse sitting on top of a very old burial and ceremonial mound of significant size directly downstream from the ancient spring now called Blowing Springs up to Rock City

As the last living individual who knew and was close to both Garnet and Frieda Carter, I can speak for my Aunt Frieda in saying it would degrade the view she so loved from both directions. On the other hand My Uncle Garnet plastered barns across the country that said “See Seven States”.

I’ll have to go with my dear Aunt Frieda, who had a passion for our native plants and open vistas. She would say “No Gondola”.
