The Fullers fired Ben Sessoms, our left side editorial writer who was a talented asset to our local paper. Now, instead, they pick and choose mild left side editorials to their liking, often written by national writers who say or know nothing about Chattanooga. How's that local? Ben took a deep dive into community issues of concern. He was a good writer who kept us informed with editorials that held locals accountable. By firing him you've deprived us of a different perspective that supported many of your subscribers' thinking. Keep Clint, but fire Ben. How utterly partisan. It's a betrayal of those of us who respected both sides of our editorial page and a reflection of your politics.

The look of our local paper presently is not to my liking. CTFP’s journalistic freedom feels limited now, and there are certainly other ways to stay locally informed. I'll consider taking my near $500 a year subscription to respected media that offers a wide array of thinking. We don't all have high school football players that would somehow entitle us to a $10 a month subscription.

News is a business with a product. If you can’t sell your product, you won’t have a business.

Nostalgia is comforting. Crying in your beer can be cathartic. Complaining is just, well, complaining.
