WASHINGTON, September 26. /TASS/. US leader Donald Trump advocated for trilateral arms control talks involving the United States, Russia, and China, while hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state visit in Washington, according to a fact sheet released by the White House.

"The President advocated for trilateral arms control negotiations between the United States, Russia, and China," the White House said following the Chinese leader’s visit to the US on September 23-25.

The two leaders also discussed "on-going global concerns," including those concerning Russia, North Korea, and Iran. "They agreed that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and that no country or institution can be allowed to impose tolls on international waterways," the fact sheet reads.
