Update on the bankruptcy of Hortilux and related parties

In the Netherlands, new interested parties continue to approach the trustee following the bankruptcies of Dool Industries B.V., Hortilux Schréder B.V., Agrilight B.V., Lights Interaction Agro B.V. and AP Nederland B.V. This is according to trustee Stefan van Wijk of law firm Buren in The Hague.

The Dutch employee insurance agency UWV held information sessions in Groningen and The Hague on how the bankruptcies affect employees. According to Stefan, the sessions went well, and he hopes many of the employees' questions have been answered. Hortilux Schréder has 24 employees.

Stefan is currently investigating the possibility of continuing the businesses under new ownership. Dozens of parties have been contacted directly with information about the companies and the opportunity to submit a bid. Several have responded, and some have been given access to the data rooms, where they can review the companies in more detail.

The interested parties include companies from the same industry, as well as investment firms that may want to acquire the businesses as a whole, the trustee has said.

More responses are expected, as several parties are still considering the information memorandum.

Once bids have been received, Stefan intends to hold talks with the leading candidates. Several rounds of negotiations will then follow before a final decision is made.
