Soul Flame Alchemy has launched the Soul Flame Honor Chair, a new community recognition initiative designed to honor individuals whose courage, resilience, service, recovery, caregiving, or personal journey deserve to be seen.

Each week, one individual will be selected through community nomination to receive a complimentary salon experience at Soul Flame Alchemy. The program was created to recognize those who quietly carry extraordinary responsibilities, overcome significant challenges, support others through difficult circumstances, or continue rebuilding despite hardship.

Founder and owner Stephanie Chandler-Wilks created the initiative from her own experiences navigating adversity and rebuilding her life after domestic violence and homelessness as a single mother.

“Some of the most meaningful moments in my life came from people who showed kindness when they had no obligation to do so,” said Chandler-Wilks. “The Soul Flame Honor Chair was created to offer that same recognition to others. This is not charity. It is a moment of acknowledgment. A reminder that every person carries a story, and every person deserves to be seen.”

Nominations may include individuals celebrating recovery and sobriety milestones, cancer and medical recovery journeys, alopecia and hair loss journeys, veterans and active military members, healthcare workers, dispatchers, teachers, school staff, foster parents, kinship caregivers, grandparents raising grandchildren, caregivers supporting loved ones, individuals rebuilding after incarceration, community volunteers, and others whose perseverance and contributions often go unnoticed.

Community members are invited to submit nominations through the Soul Flame Honor Chair nomination form. Recipients will be selected based on the impact of their story, their service to others, and their resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

The initiative reflects Soul Flame Alchemy’s broader mission of fostering beauty, healing, transformation, and community connection throughout Fremont County and the Arkansas Valley region.

Soul Flame Alchemy operates locations in Canon City and Buena Vista, offering hair services, nail services, healing modalities, educational workshops, and community-centered events.
