CanadaView All EventsAbstract: In this talk, we will explore projects designed to better understand, support, and engage students on their mathematical journey. We will first examine how qualitative analysis, machine learning, and statistics can be used to provide students with more comprehensive and meaningful feedback, while providing instructors with detailed insights into the knowledge and skills of their cohorts at scale. We will then discuss how active and experiential learning, combined with computational teaching and collaborative approaches, can foster student engagement and create opportunities for interdisciplinary connections.
