A Colorado mom allegedly kept her boyfriend’s dismembered and decomposing remains in her home for months — and chillingly told police before the discovery that there are “no words for what you’re fixing to find out.”

Sheldon “Shelly” Wilson, 62,  was charged with murder after her daughter walked her into the Colorado Springs police station Saturday and revealed that her boyfriend had died in March and was in her home, according to charging documents obtained by KOAA.

“You’re going to find out a lot more real soon, it’s bad,” she ominously told police, adding “there’s no words for what you’re fixing to find out…”

When cops visited the woman’s home, they discovered plastic containers that reeked of decomposition. Inside were the chopped-up remains of her boyfriend that she had told neighbors had been visiting family out of state.

Police searched the area outside of the home and found a mattress with dark staining, believed to potentially be blood, according to the charging documents.

Investigators asked Wilson if she thought she killed him, to which she responded, “I’m scared I might have,” police said.

Police had visited the home 18 times since Dec. 2024 over allegations Wilson was abusing the unidentified man, who she was caring for after he was taken off hospice following a series of strokes.

Family members told police last December Wilson had called them more than 40 times claiming she wanted to kill him.

Wilson told investigators she would get blackout drunk and beat him, and would sober up and find the man bloody, cut up and covered in sores.

She admitted she’s “done bad things” to the man at least ten times while drunk, according to the documents, and noted that his condition left him unable to fight back.

She found the man unresponsive the day after his birthday, telling cops that she did not remember what happened but had been drinking.

She said she covered the man up with blankets and went to work. When she returned home later, she confirmed he was dead.

Wilson then dismembered his body, put the remains in the plastic totes and moved them upstairs because of the smell. She had been sleeping downstairs for months because she claims she was having nightmares.

When the man’s family called for a welfare check on the house on Sept. 17, Wilson told police he was staying with family in another state. Afterward, she decided to reach out to her two daughters and tell them what happened.

After turning herself in, Wilson was charged with second-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, and tampering with physical evidence.

The victim will be identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, which will also determine his cause and manner of death.
