The genome sequence of the Corsican Dappled White, Euchloe insularis (Staudinger, 1861) (Lepidoptera: Pieridae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of Euchloe insularis (Corsican Dappled White; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Pieridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 372.27 megabases and 351.06 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.86%) was scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.27 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 12,321 protein-coding genes. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
