MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces are working to integrate AI technologies into reconnaissance devices for the automatic detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including small-sized ones, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces Andrey Mordvichev said.

"Great attention is being paid to the development of tactical reconnaissance. The equipment of units with highly effective technical means is continuing. Work is currently underway to integrate machine vision functions and AI technologies into reconnaissance devices, which will enable the detection and identification of enemy targets - including small unmanned aerial vehicles - without operator intervention," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

Mordvichev noted that the data collected is integrated into a unified information space, "which allows for a more comprehensive and timely assessment of the situation and changes on the battlefield.".
