Drew is also a hugger and especially when the interviews get emotional, she doles out hugs generously.
However, some guests have requested that the Never Been Kissed star 'back off.'
'I'm so touchy,' Barrymore admitted during an interview with Wicked star Cynthia Erivo.
'People have to warn me, they're like, "Back off a little bit." And I'm like, "Why?"

The 50 First Dates star also said that she's been working on her 'proximity' and the amount of 'physical distance' she keeps from guests.
Erivo was the perfect guest to talk about this with as she is just as affectionate and touchy feely as Drew is.
'I'm the welcoming Capricorn,' Erivo told the Ever After star. 'It's like, "I love you. You can touch."'
Erivo said that during the lengthy filming of Wicked, she and Ariana Grande developed their friendship including being able to touch each other with affection.
'If [we're] not connected, I'm like, "What's wrong? What's happening? Where are you?" You know what I mean?' Erivo said.
'We walk hand in hand very often. Like, if we're not walking hand in hand, we'll find each other somewhere.'
Barrymore gushed about that, saying that's exactly how she wishes life and everyone in it was.
'That’s how I want life to be. Because physical connection… I’m single. I’m not dating anyone. I don’t have that in my life, but I don’t know how I would ever hold back from holding hands, hugging, snuggling,' she revealed.

Erivo said she thinks that people let fear get in the way.
'I think we get a bit afraid of physical connection,' she explained. 'I think we assume that physical connection can only be romantic.'
She also noted that reaching out and touching someone is also a way of communicating your feelings without speaking.
'Sometimes you can’t say anything and you’re in a room and… it’s just a squeeze of the hand,'she said.
'And that’s sometimes how [Grande] and I communicate, we might be talking to someone, or I might need to communicate something to her and it’s just a squeeze of the hand or just a pinch of a finger, or a hug.'
Erivo added, 'However we need to communicate, it’s how we need to communicate. And I think we don’t give enough credit to how we communicate with our friends physically.'
Barrymore agreed, saying, 'I think if we could all be more comfortable with physical touch, I would like that world.'
When Grande, 31, had her turn on the show, Drew moved her to tears by presenting her with Glinda's wand from the 1939 film.

When Ariana Grande, 31, had her turn on the show, Drew moved her to tears by presenting her with Glinda's wand from the 1939 film
Upon being presented with the historic item, which belongs to a private owner, Ariana covered her mouth and exclaimed, 'Are you serious right now?'
She showed her quick-witted humor as she pretended to leave the set with the wand while joking, 'Thank you, guys. It's been fun. Bye!'
Ariana, who plays Glinda in Jon Chu's film, shared a snap of herself with the wand on Instagram.
Engaging her audience of 376 million, she tagged Drew and her show and wrote, 'Thank you for this extraordinary gesture and moment.'
She added, 'I'm so thankful for our talk today and for your heart, your generosity, your everything.'
The gushing note ended, 'I love you so much. There truly aren't words.'
Part one of Wicked hit theaters on November 22, following a whirlwind press tour full of viral moments.
