The supermodel has owned the West Chelsea residence for more than two decades.
Linda Evangelista—the iconic Canadian supermodel famously known for her ultra-short hairstyle nicknamed “the Linda” and the phrase “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day”—has officially strutted away from her New York City penthouse.
Celebrated for her work as one of the original supermodels of the 1980s and 1990s alongside Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Cindy Crawford, the Ontario-born Evangelista, now 61, appeared in multimillion-dollar campaigns for Revlon and Versace. She was also named one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” during her heyday.

First offered for $9.5 million in May 2024, the elegant pied-à-terre in Manhattan‘s West Chelsea neighborhood was reduced twice and also rented to actor Keanu Reeves for around $45,000 a month during his run in Broadway’s Waiting for Godot. It ultimately closed at the end of September for $6.75 million, a huge increase over the $2.4 million Evangelista reportedly paid in 2001. Steve Gold of the Corcoran Group held the listing.
Crowning the 1880s Spears Building, a six-story converted furniture showroom between the High Line and Hudson River, the unit offers four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The roughly 4,000-square-foot interiors showcase polished concrete floors, exposed brick, and 13-foot ceilings dotted with skylights. There is also a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace ideal for alfresco entertaining.

Other highlights include a spacious great room with a wood-burning fireplace and large windows capturing three exposures. A dining area is flanked by a seated bar and a small office, while the galley kitchen is outfitted with butcher block countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, and a windowed breakfast nook.
Secluded down a hallway is a corner primary bedroom, which has a model-ready dressing room with six floor-to-ceiling custom closets and an en suite bath with a soaking tub and a glass shower stall. Three additional bedrooms can easily serve as guest accommodations, home offices, or creative spaces. Topping it all off is a $6,367 monthly common charge, which includes a 24-hour doorman, concierge, and storage units.
Though Evangelista is leaving the West Chelsea neighborhood, she is not going far. Per the New York Post, she paid $5.24 million early last year for a three-bedroom corner unit at 35 Hudson Yards.
