Red Sox Game 2 starter Sonny Gray earned the wrath of Yankees higher-ups and fans by announcing he hated his time in New York upon agreeing to join the rival Red Sox via trade.
Gray received loud boos when he was introduced and again when he was removed after 4 ²/₃ innings.
But if anyone did a disservice to Gray, it was Red Sox manager Chad Tracy. He wasn’t winning this series anyway.
But like in Game 1 when he pulled starter Payton Tolle too early, he did the same to Gray.
