A video showing smoke emerging from a skyscraper is being shared on social media (here, here, here) with the claim that it shows Iranian missile attacks on Israel. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

The Archived post can be seen here.

Claim: The video shows the damage caused by Iranian missiles launched at Israel in 2026.

Fact: This video shows a fire that broke out at Marina Pinnacle, a 67-storey skyscraper also known as Tiger Tower, in Dubai in June 2025. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.

A reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video led us to a video posted on X featuring similar visuals by nexta tv in June 2025. The post was captioned, “Dubai skyscraper engulfed in massive fire — nearly 4,000 people evacuated from the building. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Rescue teams responded quickly and assured that the residents of the complex are now safe.”

Taking this as a clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search and found media reports featuring the viral visuals (here, here, and here). According to these reports, a 67-storey skyscraper known as Marina Pinnacle, also called Tiger Tower, had caught fire. The Dubai Civil Defence took six hours to completely extinguish the blaze. The Dubai Media Office reported that there were no casualties.

We also reviewed the location of Marina Pinnacle in Dubai on Google Street View and found that the buildings and other visual details match those seen in the viral video.

To sum up, an old video of the Dubai Skyscraper Fire is being falsely shared as a video of an Iranian missile strike on Israel.
