On IOS xe, the default VC type depend on the pseudowire/service configuration, so I wouldn’t say that every pseudowire defaults to VC type 5 ? No ?
The VC type is signaled between the PE peers, but the two end still need to be compatible... I'm gonna verify the exact negotiation behavior for the IOSxe plateforme before validate that one side can force the other to use vc type 4... I have a doubt.
