CHIVALRY INC

Years ago, when starting our comics writing career, we were fortunate enough to be clients of Star Reach Production; an representative agency for creators owned and operated by Mike Friedrich. At that time another of Mike’s clients was artist Matt Haley. Somehow, most likely at Mike’s urging, Matt and the Air Chief started corresponding. Somewhere in those early letters, we Matt about our idea for a telepathic private eye named Valerie Chevalier for a comic series to be called, “Chivalry Inc.” Matt thought the idea was cool and if ever there came a day when we had it accepted by a publisher, he wanted to do a cover for it. Lo and behold, over thirty years later and Silverline Comics is now producing “Chivalry Inc.” Remembering Matt’s offer, we reached out to him a few months back and not only was he happy for us, but immediately began work on what would be an alternate cover for issue # 1. Yesterday he finished and now all you Loyal Airmen are getting a sneak peek at it. Silverline publisher Roland, upon seeing it, called it beautiful. For sure. Matt outdid himself, and proved once again why he is one of the finest graphic artist in comics today. Thanks, pal.

JIN & TONIK # 2

At same time, our partner on “Jin & Tonik” artist Cesar Feliciano had finished his pencils for the cover to issue two. We showed it off here a few weeks back. Now it has been beautiful inked by veteran artist Jay Liesten and looks absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to see it full color. Oh, yeah.

LEST WE FORGET

Twenty-five years ago, Evil attacked our great country. It’s purpose to bring us to our knees, to destroy the last bastion of democracy and freedom in the world. In the process, they cruelly took the lives of nearly three thousand innocent souls. But in doing so, they exposed themselves for all the world to see and recognized. The United States of America still stands, stronger than ever because we are a nation of deep faith in a loving, merciful and all powerful God. Today across this land, people will be gathering at their places of worship, as will the Air Chief and Valerie, to pray for the souls of our lost ones and to commit ourselves once again to never, ever forget their sacrifice…and to never stop love our beautiful and precious homeland.

God bless you all, Ron – Over & Out!
