The protest, which took place a day after President Jose Antonio Kast introduced the 2027 Budget Bill, was called as part of the National Education Strike protesting cuts to education funding.The day of action was called by the Confederation of Students of Chile (CONFECH) under the slogan “Not a peso less for education.” Workers, lawyers, and teachers joined the march along with the students and clashed with riot police.
