Original Flickr used to be the very best platform for discovering great modern art. Once Yahoo got it, it started to decline. Then the next owner seemed to fix several Yahoo issues, but shifted the site towards photos at the expense of other visual stuff, art in particular. Most artists have moved to other platforms since then, probably most of them to Tumblr, but that one also degraded a lot.

I was hoping that the new Flickr might restore the appeal of the art side of the former Flickr, but unfortunately it's still not nearly as good.
