According to documents filed in the case and statements made in court, the offenses ran from November 2020 through November 2022. During that time, Christian Keilberg, 35, of Ocean County, New Jersey, was an enlisted active-duty Airman living and working on the base. 

He used online chat applications and social media to communicate with minor victims located within and outside New Jersey. 

He exchanged sexually explicit messages with them and asked them to send images and videos of themselves engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which they did.

On-Base Housing Search Revealed More Than 600 Images

A search of electronic devices found in Keilberg’s on-base housing revealed additional CSAM videos and images. In total, Keilberg received more than 600 images, including depictions of minors between 12 and 15 years old.

Project Safe Childhood

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. 

Keilberg pleaded guilty on February 10 to an Information charging him with receipt of CSAM. 

Meanwhile, on September 17, former chief master sergeant and senior enlisted leader of Air Force Special Operations Command Anthony Green was sentenced to 10 years' confinement for indecent recording and possessing, viewing, and producing CSAM.

On the same date, the DOJ announced Jayson Setera, from Oregon, was sentenced to 40 years for CSAM offenses.
