All of the cassettes in this collection are from the collection of my dear friend and mentor, Kenn Renninger. Kenny was a friend, a guiding figure in my youth. He married the love of his life, Peg, and through Peg's kindness we are sharing these sources. Kenn was a taper and an avid trader. A true believer in all of the positive messages of The Grateful Dead. He and Peg resided in a log cabin, The Promised Land, with a wood stove and a warm and welcoming vibe. Visiting there often as a young hippie kid was a formative experience in my life.

Not all of these are masters, however as of writing this blurb in the Days Between of 2026, all but two of the tapers have passed. Some of their sources might have circulated from cd-r, or lower gen cassettes. Suffice it to say that eastern PA was a hotbed of taper activity. Dave Weidner was also a friend and mentor and I know Tim Stiegler is alive and still traveling the world with Moonalice. Joe Devine's masters do not circulate to my knowledge.

We will do our best to identify source, generation/lineage and while Kenn was a good record keeper, a lot of it in the 70s and 80s (pre- internet /digital) was memory and shared experiences, so we are digging in to share as much as we can as accurately as we can.
