Navya Naveli Nanda on learning from grandfather Amitabh Bachchan

For Navya, learning from her grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, is more about observing him closely than receiving his advice. In a conversation with India Today, she opened up about the veteran star's influence on her life, explaining why she prefers to observe and listen as much as possible. "I'm always learning from him," Navya said, describing Big B as someone with immense knowledge and experience. Rather than expecting him to teach her directly, she wants to make the most of what he has to offer by listening to him.

She believes that even absorbing a small fraction of his wisdom could make a significant difference. "If I can take in even one or two percent of that and apply it to my life," she said, she could do "half or even a quarter" of what Amitabh Bachchan has managed to achieve. For Navya, the process is continuous. "I'm always listening and observing him," she added, highlighting how watching her grandfather navigate life and his career offers lessons that go beyond formal advice.

She explained that she has spent a great deal of time with her grandparents while growing up and continues to live with them. "We don't fight but we have a healthy debate all the time," she said, offering a glimpse into the family dynamic.

So, does the dinner-table conversations in the Bachchan household get heated? Well, as per Navya, the discussions are relevant and she believes its great to get a perspective from those more experienced than her.
