Promoter Bob Arum has lifted the lid on his furious rant after discovering there was no Covid-19 restrictions inside Tyson Fury's training camp, which ultimately led to the heavyweight superstar contracting the virus.

Fury was set to defend his title against Deontay Wilder on July 24, but the bout has now been postponed until October 9 instead after it was discovered that an outbreak had ran riot inside the group.

Speaking to Sportsmail exclusively, Fury was keen to insist that he is 'the last person to blame' for the situation, and was adamant that he had kept his inner circle small as he doesn't favour a 'large entourage'.

Bob Arum revealed he unleashed a rant at the lack of Covid-19 measures in Tyson Fury's camp

He also believes that changes in his sparring partners may have been the cause of coronavirus spreading, and Arum - who was under the impression Fury was fully vaccinated - has now revealed how he ripped into the camp.

'He said that he got the first shot when he was in Miami and then he had to wait the two weeks,' Arum told World Boxing News.

'He didn't want to get the second shot because he heard that people had a reaction from a second shot and he didn't want to lose any training time.

Top Rank CEO Arum (pictured) was also under the impression that Fury was fully vaccinated

'They told me he was vaccinated. I assumed it was two shots. Who gets vaccinated and doesn't (get the second shot)? He only had one shot. I never knew that he hadn't (gotten the second one) until he got sick.

'I really screamed at all of them. It was a complete f*** up. The people in the gym, I mean, we had no controls. It was like every sparring partner brought his friend. SugarHill (Steward) had these Russians (he trains) running around.

'There was absolutely no precaution taken, which a lot of it was our fault. We should have been the adult in the room.'

Fury's trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder was moved to October after the coronavirus outbreak

Jared Anderson, one of Fury's sparring partners who was set to fight on the undercard for the trilogy bout, and Steward have both received their two jabs and didn't contract Covid-19 after the breakout.

Arum, however, has said that Joseph Parker, the former WBO heavyweight champion, did test positive - despite the fighter's claims to the contrary after he had trained at the same gym.

The Top Rank CEO also outlined Fury's condition after he came down with coronavirus, but admitted the big-hitting boxer, 32, wasn't 'really sick'.

Fury (right) will look to put the storm behind him and defeat his rival Wilder for a second time

'We talked from across the room,' Arum added. 'I had a mask on, and he had a mask on. He was lethargic.

'When I talked to him, he wasn't like a guy who was really sick, ready for an ICU. He was a guy who had all that congestion in his chest.'

Fury and Wilder will look to put the storm behind them when they face off for a third time later this year, having shared a controversial draw in December 2018 before the former dominated to triumph last February.
