AMSTERDAM — Olivier Rigaud, chief executive officer of Corbion, will not seek a third term as CEO when his current appointment expires at the company’s annual general meeting of shareholders on May 12, 2027.

“After eight years as CEO, Olivier believes the end of his current term will be the right moment to hand over leadership of the company,” Corbion said. “During his tenure, he has guided Corbion through a period of significant transformation and strengthened the company's position for future growth and value creation. Olivier will remain fully committed to Corbion and continue to lead the company until the AGM on May 12, 2027, with a continued focus on improving performance, strengthening execution and advancing the company’s strategic priorities.”

Corbion said its supervisory board has begun the process of identifying the company’s next CEO.

In addition, Corbion said its supervisory board intends to nominate Alexander Wesssels for appointment as a member of the board at an extraordinary general meeting. Wessels is chair of the supervisory board of NRG Pallas and chair of Enza Zaden. During his career he has held several senior leadership positions, including CEO of Caldic, CEO of Archroma and president and CEO of DSM Pharmaceutical Products.
