PHOENIX — MPM (Making Pet Food Matters) Products announced the promotion of Samantha Greenwood to the new role of president of its North America business.

Greenwood has more than 25 years of experience developing international brands. She originally joined MPM four years ago as chief marketing officer, supporting the company’s successful sale to private equity Partners Group in 2025 before assuming her new role in July. Prior to MPM, Greenwood served as CMO and head of commercial, Northern Europe at The Kraft Heinz Company and held several roles at Mondelēz International.

“Sam has been instrumental in shaping the growth and success of our brands globally through her role as chief marketing officer,” said Julian Bambridge, chief executive officer of MPM. “Her deep understanding of our consumers, strong connection to our brands and proven ability to translate insight into commercial success make her uniquely qualified to lead our US business.

“As we continue to invest in our brands, innovation and capabilities across this strategically important market, I am confident that Sam’s leadership will drive the next phase of growth while ensuring we continue to deliver the quality and standards our consumers expect from MPM,” he  added.

Based in the United Kingdom, MPM is solely dedicated to feline nutrition with a global portfolio of premium brands like Applaws, Reveal and Encore. Since its founding in 2002, the company has expanded its international footprint into more than 50 markets, with offices in the United States, Australia, China and Thailand.

Regarding the United States, the company built out a team in the country in 2021 and broadened its brick-and-mortar and online retail footprint. Now the United States accounts for more than 40% of MPM’s revenue. Greenwood will focus on supporting this growth in the United States.

In addition to Greenwood’s promotion, MPM shared that it has renewed its B Corp Certification, meeting more rigorous social and environmental standards. The company first achieved B Corp Certification in 2021, demonstrating that its business practices had positive impacts on employees, customers, suppliers, communities and the environment.

Last year, B Lab, the organization that awards certification, raised its requirements to now mandate performance thresholds across seven core areas, from climate action to human rights to fair work. The certification also requires third-party verification. MPM joined 19 other companies as the first section of UK businesses to certify under B Labs’ new standards.

“We’re incredibly proud to be among the early adopters to recertify against B Lab’s new standards, but for us, recertification isn’t the end point; it gives us a stronger framework for what comes next,” said Joy Stevenson, impact manager for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at MPM.

“With the combined support of our Leadership Team and new investors, we have a real opportunity to continue maturing our ESG program, from evolving our human rights due diligence and defining our pathway towards Net Zero Greenhouse gas emissions, to continuing to strengthen the resilient and responsible supply chain relationships we've built over more than 20 years,” she added.

Sustainability goes beyond MPM’s product development process to include partnering with suppliers that share its principles. In fact, the company has built its supply chain that prioritizes ingredient traceability, emissions visibility, climate risk management and human rights.

MPM’s milestones in its B Corp Certification includes more than 428 million pet meals sold throughout the globe in 2025; more than 7.7 million meals donated to animal rescue centers and pets in need since 2021; and the launch of a new Climate Action Plan, which includes improving logistics efficiency and maintaining 92% recyclable packaging.

“Ultimately, it’s about continuing to earn the trust of the shoppers who choose our brands, while never assuming we have all the answers,” Stevenson said. “One of the things I value about both the B Corp and pet industry is the shared drive to keep moving forward, learning from each other, sharing experiences and continually challenging ourselves to do better. The new standards deliberately raise the bar, and we know there will always be more to do. But that’s part of the journey, if there’s another mountain to climb, we’re going to climb it.”
