Heavy metal artist Ozzy Osbourne may have died last year, but his memory lives on in everything from his iconic music to online clips from his early-2000s MTV reality show, The Osbournes. But this Halloween, Osbourne’s legacy is being honored in a unique way: as a haunted house in both California and Florida at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.

On both coasts, scare-seekers can walk through a haunted house themed around the Prince of Darkness, complete with Osbourne’s music and scenes inspired by his music videos and album covers. Universal worked closely with both Jack and Sharon Osbourne to create the houses, and Jack recently visited Universal Studios Hollywood with his 14-year-old daughter, Pearl, to honor the late rocker in a special way.

During the event, Universal places “scareactors” — costumed actors who jump out and scare guests or act out frightening scenes — throughout each haunted house. Aand among the scareactors were Jack Osbourne and his eldest daughter, unbeknownst to park guests.

“[Behind the scenes] of Pearl and I going undercover at Horror Nights,” Osbourne wrote in an Instagram post. “This is a lot harder than it looks, huge respect for all the scareactors at Universal! So much fun, I would do this every night if I could. Run, don’t walk, to dad’s house!”

In the clip, the pair is dressed up as a few of the Prince of Darkness’ minions, putting on dark eye makeup, rubber masks, and long robes and preparing to jump out at guests to give them a fright. In another Instagram clip, shared by Universal Studios Hollywood, Osbourne explains, “I’m Jack Osbourne and this is my daughter, Pearl. We are getting geared up and we are gonna be a Prince of Darkness Minion in my dad’s maze.”

“This was a promise I made to Pearl from the moment I said we were doing this and I’m fulfilling it,” Osbourne added.

According to KTLA, guests who attended Halloween Horror Nights that evening had no idea they were being jump-scared by actual heirs to the Prince of Darkness’ throne.

Pearl is the oldest of Osbourne’s five daughters. The 40-year-old has three daughters with ex-wife Lisa Stelly and two with current wife Aree Gearhart. Osbourne’s youngest daughter was born earlier this year, and the couple named her Ozzy in honor of the former Black Sabbath lead vocalist.
