Stylish singer Ellie Goulding seems to have decided it's time for a new image.

Ellie, 36, who is married to Old Etonian art dealer Caspar Jopling, was spotted in brown cords and striped jumper to go with her new brunette hair as she strolled through Soho, Central London, last week.

It's quite a break from the glitzy blonde style she sported in LA just two months ago.

Ellie, who won Brits in 2010 and 2014, is keeping fans waiting for her new album Higher Than Heaven – it has been delayed until March due to 'exciting opportunities'.

She might be keeping schtum but her friend, DJ and producer Calvin Harris, may have let the cat out of the bag by revealing they've been working on their third collaboration.

Good Will Hunting actress Minnie Driver is taking a starring role in a classic charity bike ride – helping Gloucestershire neighbour the Countess Bathurst in a team raising money for her retired service animals charity.

Minnie, 52, has agreed to ride a leg of the planned 1,200-mile trek from John O'Groats to Land's End.

The Countess now hopes to put together a support crew. 'I can't inflict one person having to look at my bum for two-and-a-half weeks,' she jokes.

She started her career as a comedian, performing in the same troupe as Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, so I'm glad to see that Emma Thompson has not lost the art of delivering a punchline.

The 63-year-old actress was spotted on Friday night reducing both her daughter Gaia Wise and former Bake Off judge Mary Berry to fits of giggles as they attended the Inspiration Awards for Women at London's Landmark Hotel.

Mary looked to be in on the joke, as Emma whispered into her ear on the red carpet.
