MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. Azerbaijan wants to resume purchases of Russian gas from Gazprom, Vice President of State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov said at Russian Energy Week.

"We can proudly say that our cooperation with a giant like Gazprom is a very good example, because SOCAR is probably the only company in the world that first bought gas from Gazprom, then supplied gas to Gazprom, and now wants to buy gas again," he said.

The Russian Energy Week (REW) International Forum is taking place in Moscow from October 14 to 16. It is being held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Government of Moscow.
