TCL has been a proponent of InkJet-printed (IJP) OLED panel technology for a while now, and a report from market research firm Omdia indicates that the company is preparing 32-inch and 34-inch ultra-high refresh rate IJP OLED monitors as fast as 700 Hz. Production and release timelines are both estimated for 2028, and there's a lot we still don't know yet.

For example, that 700 Hz refresh rate number may require the monitors to switch to a half or quarter-resolution mode, similar to some existing high-end OLEDs like the Alienware AW3926QW. If it does correspond to 1440p and 4K IJP OLED monitors at 700 Hz, though, they could offer industry-leading motion clarity without the fuzzy text of some other OLED panel technologies.

High refresh OLEDs for gaming are being challenged by IPS thanks to NVIDIA's G-Sync Pulsar technology, so it's good to hear manufacturers like TCL are continuing to push the envelope. G-Sync Pulsar-enhanced IPS panels may trounce existing IPS displays, but their contrast and color quality still don't compare to most OLEDs. A 700 Hz OLED at a native 1440p or 4K resolution would be the best of both worlds.

TCL's last OLED monitor, the 240 Hz TCL 32X3A, launched in March. The TCL 32X3A was absolutely gorgeous with its ultrathin design, though somewhat pricey at a $1299 USD MSRP. It doesn't appear to be for sale in the US, though reviews indicate its "WOLED/OLED+" panel has no text fringing issues and that it's well-suited for its intended professional use case. Per the Omdia report spotted by VideoCardz, here's hoping TCL's new OLEDs shake up monitors as they have TV.
