The premise of Love Is Blind is almost quaint: strangers fall for each other through a wall, sight unseen, before politics or looks can get in the way.
The premise of Love Is Blind is almost quaint: strangers fall for each other through a wall, sight unseen, before politics or looks can get in the way. But somewhere along the line the pods started leaking the same thing, season after season — Trump impressions, manosphere talking points, vaccine skepticism. The hosts of the Game of Roses podcast say it’s no longer a coincidence. In a TikTok posted around Oct. 16, 2026, Chad Kultgen and Lizzy Pace argued the show has gone fully MAGA and manosphere, and won’t make a season without it.

The receipts stack up fast across recent seasons. On Season 10, aired in February 2026, Alex Henderson told Ashley Carpenter’s father, Paul Carpenter, “I didn’t vote, but I would’ve voted for Trump,” called himself “absolutely conservative,” and said he was “happy that he won.” Henderson was living in New Zealand during the 2024 election, which is why he didn’t vote.
That exchange came at a family dinner where Paul Carpenter, who calls himself Daddy Dum-Dum, asked, “Did you vote for Trump?” right after asking the day’s Bitcoin price.

She says viewers never saw those political screening conversations because they were cut from the show.

Netflix’s own recap notes one contestant laughing along with Rob Feeley’s “constant Trump impressions,” and John Shannon raised COVID-vaccine skepticism and late-term abortion concerns with Sarah Williams, who calls herself “super pro-choice.”

A few things complicate the “it’s a rule now” framing. Nothing on the record shows Netflix requiring this content, and nonfiction VP Brandon Riegg called the mix “luck of the draw” and said the show is “neutral.”
Williams, for her part, says she “never saw it as disagreements,” that the talk “never got heated,” and that she’s “surprisingly very unbothered” by the hateful DMs that followed.
