Your Diwali shopping list may look familiar, but the price tags have changed. Smartphones in India have become more expensive this year, which makes the OnePlus Diwali offers 2026 worth checking before you buy a new phone, tablet or pair of earbuds.

OnePlus raised prices by an average of 8% in the first half of the year, compared with a 16% average increase across the market, according to Counterpoint Research. The festive sale adds bank discounts and free tablet accessories to that lower price rise. Here is the full offer list, along with gift ideas for different budgets and simple tips for taking better Diwali photos.

Why smartphone prices went up in 2026

Memory chips are a big reason. DRAM, the working memory used by phones, became much more expensive worldwide. A weaker rupee also raised the cost of imported parts used by brands that assemble phones in India.

Counterpoint Research says smartphone prices in India rose by an average of 16% in the first half of 2026. The average selling price reached a record USD 318 in the April to June quarter. One model saw a price jump of as much as 113%.

OnePlus kept its price increases lower

OnePlus took a more measured approach. Its average price increase was 8%, and the biggest increase on a single model was 12%. Counterpoint Research Director Tarun Pathak said early component purchases and a broad product range helped the company spread the higher costs across different price bands.

Metric (H1 2026)	Industry	OnePlus
Average price increase	16%	8%
Largest single price increase	113%	12%
Q2 2026 online growth above Rs 20,000	Market shipments declined	Fastest-growing brand among the top five

For buyers, the benefit is straightforward: a smaller price increase, followed by festive and bank offers, can bring the final OnePlus Diwali offer price closer to what you might have expected earlier in the year.

How to capture Diwali lights with your phone

Diwali is tricky for phone cameras: the lamps are bright, the background is dark, sparklers move quickly and people rarely stay still for long. The OnePlus 15 has a triple 50MP camera setup and supports 4K 120fps Dolby Vision video, but a few simple habits help with any phone.

Tap the flame and lower exposure. Exposure controls how bright a photo looks. Lowering it a little can keep the diya flame golden instead of turning it into a white patch.

Use Night mode for lamps and rangoli. Night mode combines several shots to brighten a still scene. It is less useful for fast-moving fireworks.

Record sparklers and fireworks as video. A short 4K clip gives you more frames to choose from later.

Try Portrait mode for family photos. It softens the background and helps faces stand out near the warm light of a puja thali.

Keep the phone steady. Rest your elbows on a table or railing. At night, the camera often needs more time to gather light, so a steady hand makes a difference.

Battery life for a long Diwali evening

Between video calls, photos, reels and family chats, a phone can run low before the celebrations end. Battery capacity is measured in mAh, or milliamp-hours. A larger number often means longer battery life, although real results also depend on how you use the phone.

Phone	Battery	Charging	Best for
OnePlus Nord 6	9,000mAh	80W	Heavy users and gamers
OnePlus Nord CE6	8,000mAh	80W	Long use between charges
OnePlus N6	8,000mAh	45W	Parents and first-time smartphone users
OnePlus 15R	7,400mAh	Fast charging	Performance and all-day use
OnePlus 15	7,300mAh	Fast charging	Flagship camera and speed

The Nord 6 stands out with its 9,000mAh battery and listed effective price of Rs 42,999. It is a useful option for heavy users who do not want to keep looking for a charger during the festivities.

OnePlus Pad Lite and Nord Buds 3r for the whole family

A phone usually belongs to one person, while a tablet often gets shared around the house. The OnePlus Pad Lite has an 11-inch screen, four speakers and a 9,340mAh battery. The 8GB + 128GB version also supports LTE, so it can use a SIM card when Wi-Fi is not available.

After the puja, grandparents can watch a devotional programme, children can use the tablet for games, and relatives abroad can join a video call. Pair it with the Nord Buds 3r and it can also become a personal screen for music or films.

At the listed effective prices, the Pad Lite and Nord Buds 3r together cost about Rs 24,598, which is less than many mid-range phones. If a larger screen would suit the family better, see our guide to the best TVs to buy on Amazon India in 2026.

A Diwali that brings generations together

For many grandparents, Diwali means clay diyas, homemade sweets and days of cleaning. Younger family members may be more interested in outfit reels, dance videos and late-night games with cousins. Both are part of the same celebration, and OnePlus’s #MakeItSpecial campaign focuses on bringing generations together.

You can read more about the campaign in our OnePlus Diwali Sale 2026 campaign coverage. Technology can support family traditions in simple ways:

Record a family recipe. Film a grandparent making besan laddoo step by step. The video could become a keepsake for years.

Swap skills. Grandchildren can teach grandparents to make a short video, while grandparents show them how to create a traditional rangoli.

Build one shared album. Ask relatives to add their Diwali photos to the same folder instead of forwarding hundreds of pictures in WhatsApp.

Bring distant relatives into the puja. Place a tablet on a stand so family members in another city or country can join the aarti live.

The idea is not to replace traditions with technology. It is to give each generation another way to share them.

Smart checkout tips for the OnePlus Diwali sale

Check the bank offer before paying. The net effective prices in the tables assume the maximum listed instant discount. Confirm that your card is eligible.

Choose the exact variant. Prices can differ by RAM, storage and colour, even within the same model.

Check exchange value. An old phone may bring the final price down further if an exchange offer is available.

Compare no-cost EMI. This can split the cost into monthly payments, but check the terms and eligible cards before choosing it.

Do not wait if a specific variant matters. Festive offers, colours and stock can change during the sale.

The bigger picture for Diwali buyers

This year, it helps to look at the price before the discount as well as the saving shown at checkout. OnePlus’s average price increase of 8% was lower than the market’s 16% average, and the festive sale adds more savings through bank discounts and free tablet accessories.

There is an option at nearly every budget, from Rs 1,399 wireless earphones to a flagship phone for the family photographer. You can also browse the OnePlus shopping collection for video walkthroughs of the devices.

Prices, card eligibility and stock can change, so check the final amount on the retailer’s page before placing an order.
