A family of a beloved Georgia mother has revealed the final message she sent from an immigration center in Nepal before it was obliterated by a monster flood.
Mary Sorensen was set to return home to Canton on August 26, the same day a historic flood swept through Nepal, after what her heartbroken family described to Channel 2 as the trip of a lifetime.
The 60-year-old was inside an immigration office near the Rasuwagadhi Nepal-China border, which videos have shown being decimated by a mountain of floodwater, when she sent her family one final text.
'Much love to everyone! And I'm so very grateful to have all of you as my family,' the mother wrote at the end of her message after describing her wonderful trip.
Sorensen has been missing ever since, making her one of the roughly 4,000 people rescuers are still searching for. The death toll surpassed 1,000 on Tuesday.
Sorensen's son, Riley Wildeman, was teaching at a school when he learned about the devastating landslides and floods.
'I just kind of sat in a stairwell and just prayed and cried a bit and thought a bit and prayed some more,' Wildeman told the outlet.
'We've prayed for a miracle the whole time. We've prayed for a miracle of her being saved, for her to be found.'

Sorensen's family said she was traveling with the Isha Sacred Walks travel group, whose members are among the missing.
The travel group posted on X that it was likely the travelers did not survive, according to the outlet.
'There's a God who will do a miracle that will bring her home,' Wildeman said.
'My dad likes to say that if there's anybody who's going to come out of this covered in mud and pissed off, it's probably going to be her.'
Sorensen's family have received hundreds of messages of support as authorities continue to search for thousands of people who remain unaccounted for.
Rescue teams are also working to assist survivors in areas where roads and other transportation routes have been damaged or cut off.
Hundreds of bodies, many still unidentified, have been buried in shallow graves as they began decomposing in the humid conditions across Nepal's lowlands.

Aid needs are enormous. Entire communities have been swept away, leaving families homeless in heavy rain or sheltering in temporary facilities.
Roads have been washed away, power plants destroyed, and dozens of bridges smashed.
With mortuaries overflowing, Nepal has begun burying some of the hundreds of recovered bodies after taking DNA samples so families can later identify and retrieve them.
Among Nepal's missing are 592 foreigners, including tourists who had come for trekking in the country's seemingly serene mountains and Hindu pilgrims seeking spiritual peace at Tibet's sacred Mount Kailash.
The devastating sequence of events began shortly after 8.30am local time on the day of the floods, when the ground started shaking along the Nepal-China border.
The US Geological Survey initially detected the shaking as a magnitude 5.2 earthquake but later determined that a massive section of glacier had collapsed.

The United States Geological Survey described the seismic event as an extremely powerful 'glacial collapse and debris flow' that caused catastrophic impacts downstream.
As the ice mass plummeted, it was pulverized into a fast-flowing mix of freezing water, debris and rocks that swept down the mountainside and into the Lende Khola River.
