An 81-year-old man in Florida is facing second degree murder charges after his boss scolded him for sleeping on the job, police said.
Last Wednesday, Jose Antonio Lopez was sleeping at the machinery shop he works at, Metro Express Inc., when his employer, Delio Trasobares, arrived and told him to leave, according to an arrest report seen by NBC 6.
Trasobares is the owner of Metro Express Inc., an engineering and general contracting company in Medley, Florida.
According to Local 10, Trasobares has already prohibited Lopez from sleeping on the premises on a different occasion.
'Without argument, [Lopez] walked over to a shelf located approximately 3 feet away and retrieved a.40 caliber firearm,' police said, according to the outlet.
Lopez proceeded to curse at his boss and shoot him in the chest.
'Go [expletive] yourself! [Expletive] your mother,' Lopez allegedly screamed at Trasobares while firing the gun, Local 10 reported.
The victim tried to flee, but collapsed at the entrance of the shop, according to the arrest report cited by NBC 6.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed him to a hospital but he did not survive, the outlet reported.
While the witness inside the shop called the police, Lopez went outside for a cigarette and rode around on a tricycle, going in circles around the parking lot until police arrived, the arrest report revealed.
When police arrived, Lopez said 'I Did it,' according to NBC 6.
Deputies found Trasobares 'on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest,' according to an arrest report seen by Local 10.
At some point, Lopez told police he had chest pains and was taken to the hospital, NBC 6 reported.
After he was discharged, he told police he shot the victim because he was 'fed up' and 'had enough of [Trasobares'] insulting him and complaining,' the outlet reported.
Last Friday, Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer denied bond for Lopez, Local 10 reported.
