Victek has signed a third-phase production contract with Hanwha Systems for radar warning receivers.
Victek said in a regulatory filing on Oct. 15 that it had secured a 10.5 billion won contract from Hanwha Systems to produce radar warning receivers for light armed helicopters. The contract represents 12.71% of its revenue of 82.9 billion won last year.
The project is scheduled for completion on July 5, 2029. Victek will manufacture the equipment in-house and deliver it to Hanwha Systems' Gumi facility.
A radar warning receiver (RWR) is an electronic warfare device that detects enemy radar signals to determine whether an aircraft is being detected or tracked. Victek previously signed an 8.5 billion won production contract in 2023.
Victek manufactures direction-finding equipment for electronic warfare systems, military power supplies and tactical information communication network (TICN) equipment.
The company also collaborates with Hanwha Systems in several areas, including thermal imaging units and identification friend or foe (IFF) systems. Of Victek's first-half revenue of 43.5 billion won, businesses in which Hanwha Systems is the primary customer accounted for 32.5 billion won, or about 75%. The proportion was 62% last year and 63.5% in 2024.
Victek's order backlog stood at 136.8 billion won as of the end of June. Power supplies accounted for 60.1 billion won, electronic warfare direction-finding equipment for 37.2 billion won and IFF equipment for 27.3 billion won. Together, the three categories represented 91% of the backlog.
