DES PLAINES, ILL. — Columbus Vegetable Oils — a supplier of oils, shortenings, sauces and dressings — recently announced the opening of its new packing and distribution facility in Las Vegas, expanding its West Coast operations as the company celebrates 90 years of business.

The new rail-served facility increases production capacity to ship millions of pounds of oils annually throughout the West Coast. Equipped with state-of-the-art processing technology, the facility will serve food and pet food manufacturers, food service operators and retailers. It will offer a range of conventional, non-GMO and organic oils, including soybean, canola, olive, safflower, avocado and corn.

“Our philosophy has always been simple: We don’t sell oil, we sell service,” said Paulette Gagliardo, president of Columbus Vegetable Oils. “That service starts with our people and the relationships we’ve built with our customers and partners over the past 90 years. We’re proud to bring that same commitment to Las Vegas — and the entire West Coast.”

Expanding the company’s presence on the West Coast, the expansion reflects Columbus Vegetable Oil’s ongoing commitment to providing dependable supply, high-quality products, world-class service, fast delivery and competitive pricing, according to the company.
