INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MINN. — SOMIC Packaging announced it will showcase a new cartoning machine, as well as two new digital solutions during PACK EXPO International 2026, held Oct. 18 to 21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

At this year’s show, SOMIC will display its 434 high-end cartoning machine for end-of-the-line packaging, which was originally introduced at PACK EXPO 2024. With capabilities of producing 32 cycles per minute, the 434 can package products in tray cartons, wraparound cartons or tray/cover cartons.

SOMIC is introducing its new 202 compact cartoner at this year’s show. Designed specifically as a space-saving machine for standard packaging tasks, it also offers manufacturers looking to enter the automated, shelf-ready packaging arena a new solution. The standard platform model is designed to handle Regular Slotted Cartons (RSC) or flat blanks up to 20 packs per minute. Attendees will be able to see the machine in action at SOMIC’s booth.

SOMIC’s digital solutions — SOMIC Eagle and SOMIC Connect — will also be demonstrated during the show.

“Providing service teams with a way to combine recent machine-sequence video with diagnostic data, it gives customers and technicians an avenue to improve troubleshooting, determine what triggered a machine fault and decreases downtime,” according to the company.

SOMIC Connect shares the data, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) logs and error information, through a secure email server.

SOMIC’s equipment will be featured at booth #N-4740.
