Calendar Notifications Issues

I've noticed recently 2 different notification issues on my device: 1. I have a calendar event I set sometimes for 8am and set to alert me the day before, 30 mins, and 15 mins before. The last two days I relied on this alert, the 15 & 30 min alerts did not go off, causing me to be late. 2. I have regularly scheduled events set for work designed to alert me 3, 2, 1 hours, & 30 mins before to keep me on track to leave on time. Every alert goes off and never misses, unlike the aforementioned alert. But the issue is, on some days, I'll receive an alert for that days event 1 to 2 hours after the event. Does anyone know why this may be and hour to fix it? I've tried deleting the event(s) and recustomizing.
